How does UNREAL peanut butter stay so whipped and creamy inside the cup? Why isn't it packed and hard? Because they use a unique manufacturing process, where they create each cup with a “double shot” approach. They pour in the rich milk or dark chocolate, made with fair trade cacao, cocoa butter and sugar, and let it cool. Then, they pour in the pure peanut or almond butter, made with gently roasted nuts, and let it cool. After, they cover the top with another layer of rich, smooth chocolate, and let it cool. While others' cups are created in a single shot, UNREAL patiently tends to each cup, letting it grow to its full taste and texture potential.

One morning after trick-or-treating, Nicky woke up to find that his dad had confiscated most of his candy. Frustrated, Nicky set out to prove that candy isn't that bad for you. But he only proved himself wrong. After a lot of research, Nicky learned that, stuff like partially hydrogenated oils, corn syrup, artificial colors, flavors, GMOs, chemical preservatives and loads of sugar, aren't there to make candy taste better. They help make it cheaper to produce and last longer on shelves. Nicky had a hunch that without the junk, candy could taste even better. And, if this were true, the big companies would pay attention and change their ingredients. So, with the help of his older brother, Kris, and his dad, he set out to test this idea.

Nicky and Kris' vision is alive and well. UNREAL is reinventing America's favorite treats. Using only the best, all-real food ingredients from around the world, their candies are not only a better choice nutritionally, they DO taste better! In place of the junk, they've added better ingredients, like more cacao and peanuts. More protein and fiber from real foods, with less sugar, so that each snack has a lower glycemic index. Thank you, thank you, thank you for making a candy that looks like my son's old fave M&Ms that he can safely eat! LOVE everything in the UNREAL line that we have tried so far and so pleased to have an option especially for my son that is dye-free and without all the other junk. Yes, this is still chocolate, but it's chocolate I can feel good about giving to my son.
